From Pizza to Prime Rib

While in the uptown area of Saint John visitors can enjoy a variety of delicious and affordable foods at these restaurants.

Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut is traditionally a casual family dining room. They serve good quality pizzas, pastas, salads at a reasonable price in a nice environment. They are open 7 days a week. From Sunday through Wednesday their hours are from 11a.m. to 9 p.m; on Thursdays - 11a.m. to 10p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays they are open from 11 a.m. until midnight.

At Pizza Hut everything is fresh. The dough is made fresh on the premises daily, they top their pizzas well and the overall quality of the product is excellent. They are conveniently located on the ground floor of Brunswick Square and there is access into the restaurant from both the mall or off King Street. From Monday until Friday, they offer a lunch time buffet which is $7.49 and it is all you can eat - pizza or pasta with bread sticks or salads. They have a dessert pizza which is very popular. Lunch time combo meals which are a personal pan pizza or pastas with salad, wings or, breadsticks starting about $6.79 range. Buy any medium pizza and get a second one for $6.00 or a second large one for $9.00. They are licensed to sell beer or wine with their meals.

They do a variety of salads and their most popular ones are Caesar's, Greek, Gardens, BLT with cheddar cheese. There are appetizers, wings, breadsticks, cheese sticks, pasta menu - all different types of crust pizza and different types of dough, everything from thin and crispy right up to our traditional pan dough. The edge is an excellent healthy choice. It is very thin and topped with lots of toppings right to the edge. For those people who are on weight-watchers the "edge-veg" whole 12 inch pizza is only 16 points.

They are very versatile and deliver, do take-outs, cater and rent out the whole restaurant to groups.

In a recent survey, readers of Here, a weekly local newspaper, voted Pizza Hut as having the best pizza in Saint John this year.

A Ferry Runs Through It
William Pitt invented the first river cable ferry in the early 1900s. It was installed on the Kennebecasis River near Saint John. Several toll-free cable-ferries still traverse the lower St. John River and the Kennebecasis River.
